State of Uttarakhand which dealt with Section 4, 5 and 11 of the POCSO Act. -> Bhuwan Chandra Bhatt v. State of Uttarakhand in which compounding application was rejected as it dealt with Section 67B of IT Act and POCSO Act. It dealt with the question of why compounding application should be granted to such heinous offence. • Read case file and prepared defence arguments on: -> Mohd. Naseem and ors. v. State of Uttarakhand which dealt with Sections 498A, 304B, 120B and 201of IPC; Section 156(3), 374(2) of CrPc. -> Sandeep Singh v. State of Uttarakhand which dealt with Sections 302, 364, 201and 120B of IPC; Section 3 (2)(5)(a) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989; Sections 161, 173 and 293(4)(e) of CrPc. • Read case file and witnessed court proceedings of the writ petition (Article 226 of Indian Constitution) in public interest litigation in the case of Shiv Singh Kapurwan v. State of Uttarakhand and ors. which was based on illegal mining and the precedent of Milakh Raj v. State of Uttarakhand which dealt with Rule 13(h)(1), 13(2)(b) and 13(2)(h)(2) of Uttarakhand Minerals (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules, 2005 and Section 3(d), 21(2), 21(5) and 23 (c) of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. It dealt with the recent River Dredging Policy and Rule 14(5)(a) of Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transport and Storage Rules, 2021. Show less
