About the organisation: A non-profit organisation that provides resources and solutions to help immigrants integrate into the Norwegian society.Role:In this role, my responsibilities include integrating sustainability into Inter-Nationals' project management processes to support the rollout of projects by the organisation. Non-profit organisations barely incorporate full sustainability principles into their activities. The idea that non-profit organisations have no profit motives and focus on caring for the marginalised and vulnerable in society mostly blurs the environmental commitment required of such organisations which is also a key component in sustainability. Consequently, my tasks revolve around filling this gap at Inter-Nationals.Achievements:• Reviewed custom-made project management processes that I initially developed for the organisation to identifyopportunities for integrating sustainability considerations. The review involved analysing project selection criteria, risk assessment processes, and project monitoring and evaluation procedures.• Developed sustainability criteria for screening our projects. These criteria include considerations such as environmental impact, social impact, and economic viability. The criteria have been applied to two projects so far and we have saved some tons of waste generated by those projects (including but not limited to using electronic materials rather than paper and requesting waste disposal reports from our project partners, especially venue owners).• Provided sustainability training for two staff. The training was about sustainability principles and practices and the criteria that I developed for integrating sustainability considerations into the organisation’s projects. Show less

Operations Support

Jun 2021 - Dec 2022
Role:In this role, my responsibilities included developing and implementing the right processes and practices to support the rollout of programmes and projects by the organisation.Achievements• Developed custom-made project management plan templates organised according to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) process group to manage projects. The effects of these plans have now minimised key probable uncertainties like overspending and time lag that could affect the organisation’s projects.• Coordinated one (1) workshop project dubbed ‘Diversity and Inclusion for Start-ups in Fredrikstad – Norway’. While the project successfully collaborated with stakeholders including the Fredrikstad Municipal office and a private consultancy firm called Human Effect AS, activities outlined as part of the project were also carried out on time and within the allocated budget.• Authored a ten (10) page script document for the organisation’s yet-to-be-recorded maiden podcast project dubbed ‘Every Kroner Matters’. The development of the script entailed conducting relevant research and providing appropriate critical questions and hints relevant for discussion. It is envisaged that the development of the script would save the organisation a great amount of editing time after recording, and also help save the would-be host if he/she ever loses their train of thought or run out of things to say during the recording session.• Revised the concept note for one project titled ‘The Intrapreneurship Lab’. The concept note was revised because of new concerns levelled out by external stakeholders after a series of consultations in the planning phase of the project. Show less

Assistant Technical Services Manager

Jan 2020 - Feb 2021
About:A government institution mandated to develop, coordinate, supervise and facilitate the creation of jobs for the youth in Ghana ---Role:In this role, my responsibilities included providing technical assistance and operational leadership in the management of projects for the achievement of the mandate of the Agency.Achievements:• Assisted the Technical Services Director in implementing, overall, six (6) policy projects that created job opportunities for over 67,000 teeming unemployed youth living in Ghana. All these projects were implemented between September 2017 and December 2020. The names of the projects are as follows: Community Policing Assistance Module; Flagship Programme; Schools Support Programme; Youth in Sports Programme; Youth in Sanitation Module; and Arabic Instructors Module.• Participated in several recruitment exercises to enlist over 67,000 young people as beneficiaries of the Agency’s various programmes listed in the first bulletin. My responsibilities cut across liaising with the Agency’s officials at the regional and district administrative levels to arrange for interviews, bio-data capturing, training venues & supplies, and resource persons to handle training sessions on grounds for beneficiaries.• Produced several minutes and reports including the 2019 end-of-year annual report for the Technical Services Directorate, progress and post-evaluation reports for the Agency’s Flagship programme, Schools Support Programme, Community Policing Assistance Module, Youth in Sports Programme, and Arabic Instructors Module.• Authored implementation guideline documents for the Agency’s School’s Support Programme and Youth in Export Programme. The guidelines contained agreed minimum requirements and processes required to be applied in the implementation of the programmes. Our operational efficiency levels rose by 15% whilst the number of phone calls from the regional and district levels to the Headquarters for enquiries also dropped by 30%. Show less

About the company: iPRO SOLUTIONS is a wholly Ghanaian-owned and operated IT Company with enormous expertise in software development, networking solutions, and database systems design and management. Founded in 2010, IPRO SOLUTIONS Company has been making remarkable contributions towards technological advancement. --- Role: In this role, my responsibilities included analysing systems, creating documentation, and delivering training for enterprises with a small workforce. Achievements: • Assisted the main Functional Lead in preparing functional specifications and user guides for three software projects: i.e., the GNPC Scholarship Application software, the Students’ Elections Collation system, and the Ministry of Inner Cities & Zongo Development website. • Saved our organisation from running a deficit of about 5% of the allocated budget for an Election Coalition System that we developed for a student organisation to run their students’ elections. My intervention was crucial because earlier interactions had resulted in misinformation. As part of my intervention, I spent a great deal of time interacting, detailing, and providing information back and forth with the internal stakeholders of the client’s organisation until the system met the required structure. • Delivered end-user training for about ten (10) staff on an Election Coalition System that we developed for a student organisation and facilitated the smooth transition to the client.
