  Art4Life is a licensed non-profit, after-school organization aimed at providing a diverse arts education program for over 200 elementary school children. As the assistant Director, I manage day to day operations, support staff, and maintain healthy connections with Portland Public Schools and the State of Oregon’s Early Learning Division Evaluates and manages all programs through site visits and direct teacher support. ● Connects the program with the community by organizing field trips and maintaining community relationships. ● Responsible for ongoing training including new staff orientation, professional development, and emergency procedures. ● Advocates for students in need by connecting them with additional in-school and community resources. ● Ensures all policies and procedures align with the Early Learning Division of Oregon rules for licensed programs. ● Designs, implements, and evaluates culturally specific behavior modification strategies for all locations of the after-school program. ● Coordinates curriculum planning and program logistics for more than 25 staff at multiple sites. ● Maintains a relationship with Portland Public School District to help ensure contract agreements are met. ● Facilitates meetings with parents and PPS staff to help create more consistent expectations for students in need. ● Attended multiple Diversity Equity and Inclusion trainings centered on both public education and overall systemic equity issues.
