  I headed the Traffic Management Section of the Roads Department and my principle role was the supervision of the development of traffic management, traffic control and Capital Projects including a Traffic Management Centre, Quality Bus Corridors, LUAS, Parking Schemes, Area Traffic Management Plans and Interchange Upgrades. I established South Dublin County Council's first Traffic Management Centre in 1997 and was responsible for the design, implementation and management of the project, writing new standards and defining traffic control strategies.
