I have been employed to pick up the pieces this campaign (season 2011-12) and put the relevant structures in place to take the club forward from next season. I started the season at the club as an academy coach then took over when the First Team Manager/Academy Director left the club. I oversee the Academy from the Under 7’s through to the U19’s along with the reserve team. I am responsible for key members of staff such as the Academy management team, Sports Development officer, Junior Managers and Head coaches. I oversee the Reserve team that consists of Academy players, First team players looking for minutes or coming back from injury along with any Trialists that the first team may want a report on. I hold regular coaches meetings and like to assess the coaches on both training sessions and match etiquette. Regular evaluations are undertaken and we have a very strict code of conduct for parents, players and coaches. I have implemented all the above and will ensure these structures are maintained.
