I'm excited to start a new position at the unique and vibrant institution. My lead teacher work comprises monitoring and managing the classroom and supporting students in their daily routines, inspiring and motivating them to excel in their work and activities. I also have to work closely with the Dean of the faculty and maintain an open channel of communication with their parents and relatives. I was doing research for my PhD under the guidance of Professor Charles Tripp. He is one of the leading researchers on the history of modern Iraq. He has given me exceptional guidance during my visit at SOAS and he put me in contact with many researcher and peers working on the Middle East history and politics. My work as a visiting research student was to gather all the documentation that exits in Kew National Archives and St. Antony's Collage Library about the British constitutional process in Iraq in 1920. After three months of intensive research I was able to find all the files and documentation related to the constitutional process, minutes of conferences, unpublished books and other kind of documentation such as maps, and photos that have given me a unique insight into the history of the British occupation of Iraq. For me It was an amazing experience working in the Kew Archives and St. Antony's Library. I recommend to anyone working on the history of Britain in the Middle East to visit this archives in London.
