In this role, I am in charge of all recruiting, training, case placement, and support for TVC’s National Volunteer Corps of more than 2,500 attorneys, paralegals, and related pro bono professionals from 84 of the top AmLaw 100 firms and dozens of corporate legal departments, plus mid-size firms, boutique firms, law schools, and solo practitioners. Throughout my tenure at TVC, I have successfully evaluated hundreds of cases and placed over 700 with volunteer attorneys. In addition, I have represented appellants and mentored pro bono attorneys in their respective cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). I oversaw the creation and implementation of TVC’s Limited Legal Assistance and Information Helpline. As the lead Helpline attorney, I provided information and guidance to unrepresented appellants at the Court. I currently oversee TVC’s externship, fellowship and volunteer law clerk programs, in addition to engaging with law schools.
