Colleen is a humble visionary, a warm community builder, a creative curricula developer and a skillful organizer. As someone that had school, internships and work experiences around the world, I can say with no doubt that my four years working with Colleen have been some of the most transformational in my professional life. She role models the relentless strenght of coherent leadership, the importance of being compassionate to each other in any process we may embark on and the wisdom of understanding that every step towards social justice counts and that at the same time we will never be done. I found in Colleen an empowering partner for co-creation like no other and will always look for ways to cross our professional paths again. I can wholeheartedly say that any person, project, organization, team or initiative that has the opportunity to collaborate with Colleen should not think twice!

Colleen’s dedication to justice and her effectiveness in bringing people together has helped many people and organizations become more effective and inclusive. Colleen’s ability to think strategically and make connections to create meaningful and timely learning experiences has positively impacted the Madison Community. I have had the pleasure to work with her in planning the YWCA Racial Justice Summit and the Moxie Conference which have become nationally recognized conferences under her leadership. Colleen has shaped the City of Madison’s conversations on institutionalizing racial equity and social justice - partnering with us from the beginning of our initiative in 2014 to connect us to national leaders in this work and providing meaningful development opportunities for our staff. Colleen is a treasure to our community and a tireless advocate, and it is my pleasure to recommend her.
