Colin is active in the field of sustainable design including attendance at national conferences and training seminars on LEED credit interpretation, LEED credentialing, and credit documentation. Locally, he is an active member of the Cascadia Green Building Council chapter, serving as the Alaska Branch Chair. Additionally, Colin spearheaded an internal LEED training program at PDC that included marketing, organizing, and developing coursework for the in-house training of employees to achieve the LEED Green Associate Credential. Having taught two classes with a 100% pass rate, Colin has a truly in-depth knowledge of the LEED Rating System. Colin’s many technical and community service accomplishments have been recognized by three recently announced awards. He was selected as one of ASHRAE’s Top 20 “New Faces of Engineering” in late 2012. He was also recently selected by the Alaska Journal of Commerce as one of their “Top 40 Under 40” for their 2013 award program .
