In more than 40 years in the public and private sector I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with thousands of exceptional men and women. Few have been more exceptional than Cindy Taube. I first met Cindy shortly after I became the Executive Director of Spare Key, www.sparekey.org, a small, Minnesota based non-profit that provides housing grants to families with critically ill and seriously injured children in the hospital. We sat down and I shared my vision of how I was going to reinvent Spare Key and transform how Spare Key would go form a small nonprofit to one with a larger reach and impact for families in need. Cindy, as she did during entire time we worked with her in her role at Treasure Island Resort & Casino, didn't flinch from asking tough and fair questions. As I have shared countless times since then, Cindy's decision to invest in herself and TI were, and have been, directly responsible for the success of Spare Key. Cindy brings a refreshing ability to be flexible, creative, innovative and patient. She understands the mood of the audience that she is attempting to reach, and harnesses and leverages public relations, marketing and communications tools better than anyone I have ever met. She is unflappable and persistent. She doesn't look for problems, she solves them. She doesn't wait for opportunities, she creates them. In a world in which there are no shortage of people who brag about their accomplishments on social media, Cindy brags about those she is committed to serving. Whether it is her employer, or her volunteer work or, as in the case of Spare Key, Cindy understands that her obligation isn't to shine the light on herself but on those she is serving in the capacity she has been asked to serve. Any organization would find themselves well-served and represented by Cindy Taube. Her work ethic is above outstanding. Her collaboration skills and partnering talents are remarkable. The skills, talents and tools she brings to the table for public relations, marketing, communications and strategic planning and positioning are the envy of her peers. I am proud to endorse her for any opportunity! Erich Mische, Executive Director Spare Key
