Overview

The National Eagle Center inspires environmental stewardship and community sustainability through education about eagles and the Mississippi River watershed. Visitors of all ages learn about biology, ecology and natural history of eagles through up-close experiences with rescued bald and golden eagles, interactive exhibits, and daily educational programs. Our landmark interpretive center on the banks of the Mississippi River in Wabasha, MN opened in 2007 and offers stunning views throughout the year. The National Eagle Center is a dynamic organization that impacts tens of thousands of visitors each year. Set in the heart of Wabasha’s historic downtown, the National Eagle Center has grown from an all-volunteer, outdoor eagle viewing opportunity to become a year-round tourist destination. Our collaborative, mission-focused team includes full-time staff, numerous part-time staff and many volunteers. Together, we offer a unique world-class experience to visitors from around the country and around the world.
