I was Christina's editor at The Sunday Independent in South Africa from 1996-2001 and have followed her career since. She is a highly self-motivated communicator, media trainer and agent for change. Christina would be a major asset for any organisation grappling with the complexities of rapid social change. Both people-centred and goal-oriented, Christina is the embodiment of much-needed emotional intelligence.

I was Christina's deputy at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and worked with her on various projects for over two and half years. In her capacity as Head of the SDC's Communication Management Unit, Christina was responsible for overseeing a wide range of institutional and cross-divisional communications activities that often involved coordination with the broader communications efforts of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). As a manager Christina is someone who truly believes in empowering others and encouraging them to take control, but at the same time is always ready to step in and help out when needed. She is always open to new ideas and contributions, understands the importance of cross-cultural awareness and is extremely adept at coaching others and giving guidance by sharing her extensive knowledge. This is no doubt a tremendous asset she brought to the many communications/writing workshops she conducted for numerous SDC cooperation offices around the world. I saw first hand how she consistently - and with great passion - upheld the SDC's core interests and mandate, even when faced with stiff opposition or difficult choices. Christina has strong leadership skills, is a strategic thinker and always offers honest and well thought-through ideas. I would be delighted to work with her again if given the opportunity and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a seasoned communications professional, trainer or coach, programme manager or leader with vision and integrity.
