PeaceWomen Across the Globe is an international feminist peace organisation, based in Bern, Switzerland. We are committed to the participation of women in peacebuilding, particularly of disadvantaged women and marginalised groups in countries and regions affected by war and armed conflict. Within our growing network, which began with the 1000 women nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005, we promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge among the peace and women’s rights activists. Together with our partner organisations, we provide the activists with safe spaces to voice their demands and develop strategies to make these demands heard by decision makers. Our aims are women’s meaningful and equal participation in peace processes and ensuring their peace work gets the visibility it deserves.
