Event Planner/Conference Coordinator Coordinated and implemented inaugural statewide conference for the Massachusetts Children’s Alliance (MACA). Facilitated statewide working group meetings to ensure content was membership driven. Expanded reach and number of participants by 100% over four year period. Worked closely with Board and Staff to coordinate Fidelity House’s annual Golf Tournament. Assisted in fundraising strategy and “day of” management. Provided on-site support and coordination to the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center’s annual Walk and Annual Gala. Both events were attended by over 500 people and raised over 100K. Coordinated all aspects of Centro Latino, Inc.‘s Annual Gala. Worked with diverse staff and stakeholders to ensure event reflected values and mission of the organization. Capacity Building/Grant Writing Provided analysis, technical support and recommendations for an organization transitioning to 501c3 status, researched and developed a sustainable funding plan. Submitted several successful and pending proposals on behalf of state agencies and area non-profits to Federal and State entities as well as private sector foundations. Major Donor Cultivation Worked closely with non-profits to identify and cultivate major donor fundraising strategy. Successfully obtained gifts totaling over $200K for one organization. Supervised a 15 person Public Education team to handle over 150 annual community workshops and violence prevention seminars throughout the greater Boston area. Presented at national and international conferences. Created, developed, and implemented sexual assault awareness and prevention curriculum; piloted in several Boston public schools. Developed pre/post test to measure outcomes. Recruited, screened and trained a 100 person volunteer pool to support the counseling, advocacy and hotline program.
