The Industrial Design & Making Workshop will provide aspiring design students with an immersive experience in digital design. The workshop will give students a hands on experience in 3D digital modeling, 3D digital scanning, 3D printing, laser cutting and CNC routing within Drexel University’s state of the art digital fabrication lab. Students will engage in several assignments that will guide them through a design process, where they will see their own ideas and designs come to life. Instruction in various methods and techniques of digital design that work across many different design disciplines will appeal to students interested in studying a variety of types of design including industrial design, product design, architecture, and mechanical engineering. With the completion of our workshop, students will be well experienced in industrial design and making and will leave with several portfolio ready projects.
