Jucumari Program is the greatest achievement of my professional career to date, which came true thanks to my first grant from the Prince Bernard Nature Fund in 2021. The objective of this program is to promote coexistence between local communities that inhabit with the Andean Bear and the species, promoting sustainable economic initiatives that contribute to its conservation and help improve people's quality of life. I have two years of experience leading a multidisciplinary team of volunteers committed to the objectives and values of the program, encouraging open communication, joint problem solving and promoting the development of their own leadership skills. I establish ties and alliances with public and private institutions, foundations, NGOs, local communities and funders, to achieve our objectives, maintaining constant communication and periodically reporting our activities and results. Giant of the Pampas is a conservation project of Ceratophrys ornata, an endangered species of amphibian that inhabits the coast of Villa Gesell city. This internship gave me the opportunity to create a targeted education program for young people in primary and secondary schools, based on the objectives of the project. I designed hands-on activities that encouraged their creativity, providing opportunities to oral, written and corporal expression as means to show their awareness messages to save the species. The results were very satisfactory for the students and coordinators of the project, setting a positive precedent in environmental education. Show less

Poliniza was an outdoor environmental education program for children developed on an ecological model farm. We created Poliniza with a couple of colleagues and friends with the understanding that, it is important to have positive experiences with nature from early childhood to achieve behaviors aligned with personal well-being and sustainability. I designed educational packages focused on awakening the curiosity and empathy of the children through art, adventure, science, health and nature, reaching almost 250 children in our city. Show less

Maca Tobiano is a conservation project for Podiceps gallardoi, a critically endangered grebe species that inhabits the Patagonian plateaus of Argentina. Working in this project implies long walks and adaptation to the particular climatic conditions of Patagonia. Likewise, it invites to open up to teamwork and continuous coexistence with volunteers and experts at the Juan Manuel Barret Biological Station. I learned much more than skills for monitoring and controlling exotic species, I learned the essence of the effort and commitment required to carry out a conservation project and how important the teamwork is. • Manager Safety, Occupational Health and Environment
      • Jan 2015 - Dec 2016

As Safety, Environment and Health Administrator of a liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon transportation company, I was responsible for supervising compliance with national and international regulations to prevent incidents and mitigate possible environmental impacts. This position required total efficiency in my logistics monitoring functions, increasing my leadership skills to guide drivers of a fleet of 40 tanker trucks. Working outside of schedules and the need to avoid making mistakes due to the possible consequences on people's health and the environment, helped develop my abilities to work under pressure while maintaining a clear and positive mind. I was in charge of designing and executing an education program for the conservation of the Illimani Toad within the Bolivian Amphibian Initiative. I led a group of 3 volunteers to carry out the activities of the project in rural schools on the south face of Illimani mountain, in a remote area without transportation or electricity. This experience greatly honed my organizational, logistical, and creative skills to provide educational experiences with limited materials. We were able to create educational games that helped to assimilate ecological concepts such as the trophic chain and the balance in an ecosystem. Although the evaluation of the program helped us to identify many things to improve, we were able to fulfill the objective of the program, which was to create an emotional connection between the boys and girls of the schools. • Captive Breeding Responsible
      • Oct 2011 - Sep 2013

The Captive Breeding component of the Bolivian Amphibian Initiative project had the purpose of contributing to the ex-situ conservation of threatened amphibian species in the highlands of Bolivia. I began my participation in the program preparing a study to monitor the physical and chemical parameters of the aquarium waters of the Giant Frog of Lake Titicaca, Telmatobius culeus, as part of my undergraduate thesis. My functions within the captive breeding facilities were the maintenance of water quality, biosecurity processes, disease prevention and feeding of individuals. However, I also contributed to the field work preparing censuses of frogs in Lake Titicaca and working with families from local communities, who helped with data collection on the number of individuals that fell into the fishing nets. This work marked a before and after in my professional life, I found in wildlife conservation an exciting field that aligned with my lifestyle, love for adventure and above all, I found my role as an environmental engineer in conservation.
