Environmental Site Assessor, Environmental Due Diligence
-
May 2022 - Present
At S2S Environmental, I conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Baseline Property Condition Assessments at various industrial, commercial and residential properties. Phase I Environmental Site Assessments include researching historical data for sites including environmental and city directories, fire insurance plans, and topographic/geological maps. Additionally, I obtain information about the environmental condition of the sites by conducting interviews with site personnel and assessing the properties for potential environmental contaminating activities. I also confer with team members to establish conclusions and make recommendations to clients. Furthermore, I conduct Baseline Property Condition Assessments, which includes assessing the condition and identifying deficiencies of various property elements such as the exterior property, structural frame, roofing systems, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, vertical transportation, and life safety and fire protection systems. Lifeguard and Swim Instructor

Apr 2017 - Aug 2018
As a lifeguard and swim instructor with the City of Oshawa, I worked in a team to supervise public swims and enforce swimming guidelines to ensure swimmer safety. I problem-solved with patrons and my team to resolve any conflicts or emergency situations. In this role, multi-tasking was very important as I was often supervising up to 40 swimmers or teaching up to 5 swimmers at a time. Additionally, I had to react effectively and efficiently using knowledge from my training in a fast-paced environment. When teaching swimming lessons, I devised adaptable teaching strategies to aid students in learning how to swim. Show less
