Team Lead DevOps / Infrastructure

As a person who is interested in different branches of the IT sphere my role in organization is to be a part of several teams: DevOps, Infrastructure, Security and IT Some of responsibilities and projects that I've worked: - Implementation of Palo Alto NGFW across the globe and building multiple edge point of contacts for Global Protect vpn - Deploy and maintain local Kubernetes cluster ( used Ansible for deploying repeatable tasks ) - Build and maintain CD/CI stages of development processes with Gitlab and Jenkins - Develop and maintain monitoring solutions based on infrastructure(Zabbix, Nagios, LibreNMS) and application level (Grafana and Prometheus) - Create and maintain GCP infrastructure ( currently over 50 projects are deployed there ) - Deploy and maintain local OpenStack environment ( fully automated deploy of compute nodes via MAAS and Ansible tasks ) - Migrate old internal CDN infrastructure to AWS and GCP - Develop GlusterFS cluster based on several nodes with ZFS storage backend - Improve local network topology ( upgrading to 40G and 10G uplinks between core switches, isolating services and teams in separate VLANs ) - redesign wireless network infrastructure ( configure MESH controller and replace legacy access points ) - Migrate legacy Ruby and PHP projects deployments from Jenkins and capistrano to Gitlab CI/CD and maintain their pipelines. - Develop DHCPd integration for Netbox ( Django web based application for manage and document computer networks ) These are little parts of my work there, most of the time I'm trying to automate repeatable tasks to eliminate human error factors and to optimize team time and flows. For most of the automations it has been used as the main language. From time to time I have to maintain also our internal infrastructure which is mix of *nix(mostly FreeBSD hosts) and Windows hosts, our VOIP(Asterisk) and our mix of network environments(Juniper, Cisco, Dell, Netgear and some more vendors :) ) Show less

There I had to deal and improve some puppet infrastructure, some hybrid cloud mess. From time to time we had to check what was wrong with BGP and ASA's. With other words our team of 17 engineers was in charge to deal and improve Cisco CWS ( Cloud Web Security) infrastructure and services behind, most of them on CentOS, some of them on FreeBSD and of course we cannot miss Windows Servers...
