Editor in Chief
-
Jun 2023 - Present
As EIC I oversee the Woroni Board of Editors as they produce content ranging from journalism, our bimonthly magazine, to radio and television. This includes coordinating the budget with the Managing Editor, ensuring proper governance alongside the Deputy EIC, approving all content produced, and providing direction and support to our volunteer workforce.

News Editor
-
Jun 2022 - Jun 2023
As News Editor I manage a team of a dozen student volunteers to produce high-quality journalism that both informs and engages the ANU community. I assign articles to reporters, train them through the researching and writing process, and edit them intensely. I also take a big-picture view of the team, ensuring our articles cover a variety of issues, and planning our next projects. A large part of my role also involves sourcing article ideas, requiring maintaining connections on campus, and frequent research. Concurrently, I am also a director of Woroni, sitting on the Board. Hence, I must evaluate all content before it is published, and take an active role in the organisation's entire direction. I am trained in directorial responsibilities, including fiduciary responsibilities, and regularly engage with questions around defammation, ethical reporting, and upskilling volunteers. Show less
