  Healthy bodies and minds depend on quality nutrition, which is why this agriculture program is invaluable in advancing VHW health and education efforts. The food security program focuses on improving quality nutrition in a number of communities in and Kigutu. By installing and managing organic food gardens in communities, the Food & Security achieves several goals; they improve access to healthy food, educate people on the importance of nutrition and on how to grow food, and they help create sales outlets for any surplus food. This means that food security is improved, mindsets get changed, and income is generated for people who need it.
