I met Aimee in 2015 when we began serving together on the Leadership Team for the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County (HRPBC). During that time she served in many roles on the Chapter’s Board of Directors and eventually served as the Chapter President in 2019 & 2020. Aimee demonstrates a natural ability for leadership and was a mentor to many of us who volunteered along her side. One of Aimee’s goals during her time as HRPBC President was to update the Chapter’s branding and bylaws to stay aligned with the advances made by the HR community. Aimee was committed to strengthening the culture of the Chapter’s membership throughout the campaign. Aimee led initiatives to survey the members about their views of the Chapter which were used when deciding on key elements of the Chapter’s rebranding. In 2020, Aimee completed the successful rebranding campaign of what is now Palm Beach County SHRM. Aimee is first class professional and I am very fortunate to be able to call her a colleague, mentor and friend.

Aimee has hired me twice in my career. First when I was 19 years old, going to college and looking for a good job to have to get me thru school. I experienced her then as someone I grew quickly to respect and trust, and soon I came to know how she conducted herself as an HR professional - with the upmost professionalism and expertise. Long story short, I eventually moved on from that job but soon after realized that I too wanted to be in HR. I remembered Aimee and how much I looked up to her and knew that was someone I wanted to mentor me. I called her and asked to meet for lunch and we did .. and thereafter kept in touch. Not so many years layer, she called me and wanted to know if I’d be interested in working for her as an HR Coordinator. I of course jumped at the opportunity and have never looked back. She taught me everything I know and is the embodiment of true leadership. I am where I am because of her, now also a VP. She believed in me and I hope I have made her proud. I am so grateful and blessed to have had such a wonderful person to guide and pave my way in my own career and I will forever hold her very close to my heart.
