Established in 2013 and made up of former intelligence professionals and law enforcement officers, including former FBI, NGA, and other governmental agencies, crime analysts and field operators, Earth League International (ELI) is a pioneer in the use of professional intelligence to fight environmental crime. ELI's mission is to fight Environmental Crime through effective Information Collection, Analysis, Intelligence Production, and Dissemination, in support of the work of governmental agencies and other stakeholders. Professionally run intelligence and investigative activities are the most effective long-term tools for fighting environmental/wildlife crime and researching Environmental Crime Convergence. The intelligence-led approach is needed to integrate the more traditional “reactive” conservation models with a more proactive, impactful, and disruptive approach. ELI gathers much-needed intelligence on the key players, illegal supply chains and the modus operandi of transnational environmental crime and trafficking networks. We also research and investigate the Crime Convergence with other serious crimes, such as money laundering, human smuggling, narco-trafficking and corruption. ELI collaborates and shares information with trusted governmental agencies and organizations that are in a position to either prevent wildlife/environmental crime or disrupt the criminal networks. In 2014 we created WildLeaks, the world's first whistleblowing initiative dedicated to environmental crime, designed to support the work of law enforcement agencies. www.wildleaks.org Featured in the documentaries 'The Ivory Game' (Netflix), and ‘Sea of Shadows’ (Disney+/NatGeo), both executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. www.earthleagueinternational.org Show less

The Africa Conservancy Foundation provides thought leadership in solving existing and emerging conservation problems on the continent. It exists to ensure sustainability of conservancies, to support and motivate public and private landowners to set aside land for conservation and invest in good management. With a track record in delivering tangible outcomes, it seeks to be the trusted and respected partner of funding organizations and philanthropists. Conservation in Africa has received a major boost in the additional space through wildlife conservancies established by both private and community landowners. In some countries, conservancies now cover more acreage than the protected on government land. However, most of them continue to face huge shortfalls in resources required to manage them. It is therefore absolutely vital that creative approaches are adopted to attract capital for ensuring they are properly managed so as to secure ecological and economic sustainability for the long haul. http://africa-conservancy.org Show less

WildLeaks is the world’s first whistleblower initiative dedicated to Environmental Crime. It is a not-for-profit collaborative project created, funded and managed by Earth League International. The Mission of WildLeaks is to receive and evaluate anonymous information and tips regarding environmental/wildlife crime and Crime Convergence, and share them with partner law enforcement and governmental agencies, and when appropriate, with other key stakeholders. The first priority of this project is to provide a safe, anonymous secure space where people can submit information about environmental crime, especially from countries where it is dangerous to report such crimes. Unlike other leaks-based websites, such as WikiLeaks, WildLeaks does NOT dump unfiltered data and information onto the web and does NOT pander for media headlines. We instead use the information received to discreetly facilitate action in the field by both governmental agencies and partner NGOs. www.wildleaks.org Show less

The ‘Torbiera’ Zoological Society, member of IUCN, was established in Italy in 1989 and throughout the years it contributed to several wildlife conservation projects, creating and supporting anti-poaching teams in Russia’s Siberian national parks, consulting and assisting in creating one of the first protected areas in Gabon, creating a private reserve in Northern Argentina and publishing scientific studies on endangered species. All its activities and projects are privately funded. 'La Torbiera' Zoological Society has been supporting many field researchers since 1989, who produced a variety of conservation studies on subjects such as the Andean Mountain Cat (Oreailurus jacobita) in Argentina, the Indochinese leopard (Panthera pardus delacouri) and the Leopard Cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) in Southern Thailand, the leopard (Panthera pardus) in Armenia and the large mammals in the Niokolo-Koba National Park, Senegal. The most recent contribute went to a research on the Red Panda in Nepal. https://www.iucn.org/regions/mediterranean/about/mediterranean-members Show less
