      Assisted with research project to breed ash trees resistant to the emerald ash borer (EAB), an invasive species that is killing ash trees in the U.S. Cared for trees in the greenhouse; maintained trees, surveyed tree health, and collected data in orchard plantings; dissected ash trees to determine EAB resistance. Trained on safety protocols (e.g., pesticide exposure, knife skills, etc.).
