As a paraprofessional, I specialized in caring for intensive needs students, who required some level of assistance with all ADLs and IADLs. Safety was paramount in all circumstances. I worked closely with the therapy teams, including PTs, OTs, OTAs, SLPs, and deafblind specialists. I am experienced in using and modifying adaptive equipment, keeping detailed records of student activity, attending IEP meetings, and tracking and monitoring health conditions such as seizure disorders.
