Overview

Zonta International is a global organisation of executives and professionals working together to empower women through service and advocacy. At the local level, Zonta London club is a member of the UK NGO CSW Alliance, an alliance of 100 women's organisations in the UK who work together with the UK Government through a core group to form strategy for and engage in the yearly sessions of the UN Commission on the status of women (CSW). The CSW was established as a functional commission of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in 1946 to prepare recommendations and reports to the Council on promoting women’s rights in political, economic, civil, social and educational fields.
