The Youth Council brings together youth from different disciplines, interests, ethnicities and religious backgrounds. Established by the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, it seeks to generate creative ideas and projects to empower the youth of Macedonia, and to strengthen the voice of youth by advising the Embassy on important youth issues. The vision of the Youth Council in Macedonia is to inspire leadership among the youth by empowerment of their voices and achievements of mutual goals. For successful representation of the youth interest in Republic of Macedonia, the Youth Council commits towards fulfillment of the following objectives: - to foster youth participation in policy creation and decision making processes; - to encourage innovative and creative approaches towards overcoming challenges that youth face; - to recognize diversity and promote youth contribution in society; and - to raise awareness of the importance of youth inclusion in all spheres within society. The Youth Council is willing to work beyond borders of politics, religion, culture, race and ethnicity, within the limits of its documents, and with organizations and individuals that share common values and objectives. The Youth Council finds cooperation with other civil society organizations, government and inter-governmental agencies, and for-profit corporations beneficial in advancing their mission-related objectives.
