Feeling safe should be a right, not a privilege, and with your help, "Your Rights, Explained" aims to make this objective reality. Created to provide a feeling of security to disadvantaged communities across the globe, the YRE Initiative centres itself around individuals who are underprivileged with respect to gender, sexuality, race, religion, disabilities, and more. In order to uplift and instil confidence regarding individual identities, the YRE Initiative will serve as a means to spread awareness of the rights governing underprivileged lives, and provide disadvantaged individuals with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the laws that apply to them around the world. Alongside spreading legal awareness, the guidance provided by the “Your Rights, Explained” initiative will allow individuals access to information concerning to what extent their identities put them at risk, based on the reputation of a country’s population towards disadvantaged communities.
