Overview

Young Australian Leaders is a not-for-profit organisation established to support young leaders as they prepare for their careers and encourage them in community service. This important initiative came from the Youth Community Service Awards presented to high school students each year by the NSW Governor. Members of the NSW Branch of the Order of Australia Association decided that more could be done to assist and inspire young leaders beyond this impressive youth awards presentation day. Key services and activities planned include professional development seminars and a mentoring program. The Young Australian Leaders board includes a number of recipients of the Order of Australia as well as recent youth recipients of Youth Community Service Awards. It provides opportunities for individual recipients of the Order of Australia to assist young leaders in delivering community service and their career development.
