ygap Kenya creates positive change by making entrepreneurship more inclusive. We believe that business can be a force for good, and that entrepreneurship is key to solving the most challenging social and environmental problems facing our world today. But for this to happen, the world’s diversity must be represented in creating these solutions and the systems that enable them to succeed. ygap Kenya challenges inequalities in order to make entrepreneurship more inclusive. At a micro level, we increase the capacity and agency of entrepreneurs to run successful businesses that are making a positive impact. At a macro level we reduce the structural barriers that inhibit access and inclusion within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, to create an enabling environment for small business to thrive By offering the necessary support and resources, ygap Kenya strives to enable all entrepreneurs to create, launch, scale and sustain businesses that are making an impact – thereby unlocking their full potential and uplifting their communities in the process. Since 2008, we have run 13 programs that have supported 176 ventures working to make a social or environmental change in their communities.
