COAJE is the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Spain. COAJE is an association formed by young students and professionals with a strong passion for international security. The main objective of our Association is to create a strong network of people dedicated to the promotion of peace and defense and to the support and promotion of the role and relevance of NATO in the world. To do so, every year COAJE organises in Madrid, in September, the Youth Mediterranean Dialogue (YMD), a week-event dedicated to International Security in the Mediterranean and Middle East. During YMD, Young students and professionals from Europe, North Africa and Middle Eastern countries come to Madrid to discuss about politics, diplomatic and security issues and military aspects. In addition, they visit centres such as military units, Defence companies or military museums. We strongly believe in the importance of giving voice to those who are not always heard, focusing on youth and women and showing them NATO’s commitment to their protection. Today, in COAJE, we are proud to say we are an equal organization, led by strong young women and men.
