"XR4A: XR Enabled Social Skills Therapy for Adolescents with Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders" is an EIT Digital 2022 project that creates a new venture which will launch a teletherapy platform exposing pre-teens and teens with Neuro-Development Disorders to role-play XR games aimed at improving their social skills. XR4A will leverage XR technologies to promote a gamified social experience within small groups. Through the role-play based games with therapeutic benefits platform: - Adolescents with NDDs will improve their social skills. - The geographical reach of the services and the optimization of the operations of the therapists and the Specialized Centers will be increased. - The widespread access to therapies to all individuals regardless of their distance to NDD Centers will be enabled. - Families with children with Neuro-Development Disorders from the suburbs, will save time and costs.
