Overview
The Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers (WCSIM) is the 84th livery company in the City of London. We combine the Livery tradition of supporting people within our profession with encouraging young people to embark on a career in scientific instrumentation. We are a membership organisation and thrive on attracting scientifically diverse people who come together at events to benefit from fellowship and shared knowledge. Our charitable activities include supporting schools to deliver science teaching and rewarding excellence in scientific research. We work closely with the Big Bang Fair and Arkwright Scholars each year to identify Apprentices and support various military organisations focussing on instrumentations. If you are involved in science, engineering, electronics and related disciplines, you could play a key role in WCSIM. We welcome applications from experienced professionals involved in the design or construction or commissioning of any project involving instrumentation and control systems and from those who design or use scientific instruments in any aspect of science and engineering. If interested contact the Clerk at clerk@wcsim.co.uk.
