Saturday, March 23, 2019. The second biennial Women & Textiles Expo will be held from 10:00am-8:00pm at UTEC (35 Warren Street; utec-lowell.org) in Lowell, Massachusetts. The Expo is celebrating the many ways in which women are at the forefront of the handmade textile movement as leaders, designers, makers, textile engineers, authors and purveyors of culture. We are offering a Maker's Marketplace, presentations including a keynote speaker, hands-on workshops, installation art and a wearable art runway. Stay tuned for announcements and further information as we get closer to the date. There are still opportunities for makers and designers to apply to our Call for Entry, but the deadline is December 15, 2018!
