Overview
Women in Global Health (WGH) is a rapidly growing movement, emerging to address gender inequity as a systemic health care problem with grave impacts on health care delivery around the world. While women make up 70% of the global health workforce and are 90% of front-line health workers, they have less than a quarter of health leadership positions, resulting in poor decision making, increased burden and, given the numbers of women signaling their intention to depart the profession, a global health security threat.
