Women in Conservation Organization (WICO) is the organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women in conservation sector. A global champion for women and girls, WICO was established to promote sustainable conservation practices, empowering women to close the gender gap, and create a community where women are assertive and able to take part in conservation. WICO stands behind women’s equal participation in conservation, focusing on five areas: increasing leadership and participation, engaging women in all aspects of sustainable conservation practices, enhancing women’s economic empowerment through creating income generating activities, making gender equality central to conservation development, and honoring women in various conservation sectors by supporting their roles journey and celebrating their success. We work tirelessly hand in hand with other stakeholders to solve challenges hindering women, while promoting environmental sustainability where women's engagement is a matter of concern in promoting justice in society.
