Overview

WOMEN ARCHITECTS is a nonprofit organization that provides support and promotion of women in architecture and related professions. The Women Architects organization was founded in 2013. The primary goal of WA is to advance the status of women working in the built environment by increasing the visibility of women in architecture, guiding and encouraging women to consider a career in architecture, and networking for job placement and career advancement. In addition to all this, we provide a unique way for women to connect with one another no matter where they are in their career. We welcome professional members from all design disciplines. Our membership includes architects, designers, planners, engineers, educators, landscape architects, students and many other professionals whose careers parallel the field of architecture. While women represent nearly half of the student body graduating in architecture and design studies, they are still underrepresented in the work force.
