Overview
The Wildcat Investment Value Fund (WIVF) at Johnson & Wales University was established in 2016 out of a desire to combine traditional academic objectives with the practical demands of hand-on investment portfolio management. The WIVF represents a collaborative effort between the School of Business (SOB), University finance students, and Johnson & Wales University Investment Committee/Board of Trustees members. The key benefit for students participating in the WIVF internships is the experiential education they will receive by applying previous coursework and portfolio management theory to working in a real-world environment. Students develop leadership and collaborative abilities and refine critical thinking, problem-solving and active citizenship skills.
