Wire Monkey is a design and manufacturing company in Fairfield, CT. We make and sell bakers' blade holders, which are made from wood and other composite materials. The company is about the ins and outs of CNC fabrication, hand woodworking skills, assembly, packaging.The manufacturing process begins with precision design in Fusion 360, which is a powerful 3D CAD/CAM and post g-code processing program; tolerances are + or - 0.01mm. The Fusion generated 3D CNC g-code instructions are fed to a Raspberry Pi, which is loaded with Linux and bCNC software. The g-code is grbl based and the Pi feeds an Arduino, which actually controls the stepper drivers, which finally convert the ones and zeros into physical movement.
