Why a women's investment club? Women are 80% more likely to be impoverished in retirement because (1) we’re paid less, (2) we invest less, (3) our debt costs more, and (4) we live longer. Lots of research has been published saying we’re more risk averse, but these results are misleading. Although fewer women actively invest, those that do tend to invest more than men. Our main priority is to create learning opportunities for our members. We regularly invite industry experts to join our meetings as guest speakers, and structure our meetings to maximize learning opportunities for members. We regularly collect feedback, and make changes to best meet our members' needs.
