Overview

Wilansky Hockey Equipment (WHE) was started as a franchise of Integral Hockey at the end of 2013 and was operating under Integral Hockey Ontario East. The owner, Mark, was looking to better use his skills and put his passion for hockey into a meaningful endeavour. With today’s focus on being “green”, what better solution was there then repairing broken high-end sticks and keeping all of that carbon fibre, fibre glass, and other materials that do not decompose, out of landfills and on the ice instead! Mark quickly developed a passion for working in the hockey industry, and, in the first year alone, was able to save parents and players thousands of dollars, while preventing a couple of hundred sticks from polluting our planet. WHE grew from two drop off locations at the end of the 2013-2014 hockey season to six throughout the Ottawa area by the start of the 2014-2015 season (Barrhaven, Stittsville, Orleans, St-Isidore, and West & East End Ottawa). Furthermore, Mark has established relationships with local teams to obtain their broken Pro Stock sticks, which are carefully selected and Reloaded for resale at a fraction of the original price. Lastly, under the mentorship of John from Spokes N Edges (J.A. Dulude Arena), Mark became a proficient skate sharpener. With the number of products and services growing, Wilansky Hockey Equipment was no longer just the name behind the business, but became the new public name and face in early 2015. WHE is still the official supplier of the Integral Hockey stick repair system in the northern portion of Eastern Ontario, from Hawkesbury to Lanark, and now in Gatineau. The Integral Hockey St-Lawrence franchise operates in the southern portion, which is based in Kemptville. WHE now offers skate sharpening in the Findlay Creek area and continues to offer the most advanced stick repair on the market. WHE also expanded by adding other great products, such as Howies Hockey Tape, True Hockey products, and the Hockey WrapAround One
