Overview

WICCI’s India-EU Business Council aims to inspire, connect, and empower women who strengthen the India-European Union business corridor. The Council is an up-to-date and diverse community of businesswomen, female entrepreneurs, and change-makers from all over India and the EU. It serves as a networking platform to highlight their accomplishments and unique experiences. By sharing knowledge, business opportunities, and best practices the Council generates awareness of women's contributions in developing the India-EU relations. The initiative was formed as a response to the underrepresentation of female leaders in the world of business; senior level positions, advisory boards, and conferences. The idea for the Council was conceived by Ada Dyndo, a Polish woman living in India for over six years, working in the business environment. Having the experience of heading the office in India at the age of twenty seven, Ada, faced, like many other young female professionals, the marginalization of women in the workplace, as well as noticed lack of gender diversity and unequal opportunities. With the support of the WICCI Team, Ada founded the India-EU Business Council to fuel and highlight the success of incredible women she has met, and hopes to meet, along the way. The Council is backed by the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), already a global network of 250,000 members worldwide including 60,000 in India. WICCI drives fundamental changes in governmental policies, laws, incentives and entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a view to robustly encourage and empower women in business, industry, and commerce across all sectors and fields.
