Overview

WEG's Hydrogen/Helium Lofted Wind Energy Generation Systems answer the question, "What's next in wind energy?" Our Wind to Energy Generator (WEG) is a lofted, tethered, lighter-than-air aircraft (aerostat) that gains its lift using a buoyant gas. The WEG generates electrical power by floating two counter rotating vertical wind turbines driving four exclusive integrated high efficiency generators. WEG has distinct advantages over conventional wind turbines including: • global deployment • lower costs of construction, implementation & deployment • lower costs for upkeep, maintainance & refurbishment • low wind speed operation • superior environmental advantages • the ability to reach stronger winds at higher altitudes • the ability to produce electricity a significantly greater percentage of the time A WEG system is a completely self-contained electrical power plant. The WEG aerostat is inflated with HYDROGEN (outside of the US and Canada) or helium (in US & Canada). (Combined with our Waste-to-Energy "Clear" HYDROGEN producing technology, a wind field of units can be kept aloft, while eliminating waste - tires, plastic, etc. - and selling excess HYDROGEN.) WEG systems range in size from 100 kW to 1 MW. By reaching stronger winds at higher altitudes and operating at a far wider range of wind speeds, many placement limitations of traditional wind turbines are overcome. Thus, the WEG can be placed directly where the power is needed. At WEG, we believe this is a MONUMENTAL breakthrough which will allow much more of the world's population to tap into the abundance of wind energy available to them.
