Overview

The City of Lincoln constructed this sturdy, Neo-Classical Revival building in 1924 according to plans by Fiske & Meginnis as the Municipal Lighting and Waterworks Plant, combining both water pumping and electric generating facilities in one building. After it became outmoded in the 1970s, it was adapted into 39 residential units in 1987. The Waterpark project, designed by Sinclair Hille, received a National Preservation Honor Award in 1992 from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Registered building number 86001938.
