Our Mission "To prevent and protect life and relieve the suffering and distress amongst persons endangered by flooding or natural hazards or to assist in water-based rescue incidents or other emergency response situations though the provision of grants to assist in the operational or tactical support of any such incident" Our Vision “To create a voluntary search and rescue team that every member can be proud to Be Part of Something Great. To create a forward-facing search and rescue team that is operationally able to support to the Emergency Services in a range of situations; and specifically, those associated with water rescue, and play our part towards the UK national emergency resilience plans.” Our purpose “is to provide response and operational support to the Emergency Services in a range of situations varying from providing operational & tactical support during times of flooding or civil emergency; to attending & assisting at water-based rescue incidents; including helping to search for & rescue vulnerable people.” Our objectives “state that we exist for public benefit & to train our team to relieve suffering and distress amongst persons endangered by flooding or natural hazards; as well as those in vulnerable, water-based situations.”
