Vridhi Techno Farms Pvt Ltd (VTF) is a DPIIT-registered social impact startup formed in the year 2020. VTF is assisted by the Ministry of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry (Govt of INDIA) through the National Fisheries Development Board. VTF is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu – INDIA. The Problem VTF is addressing? The food chain is not transparent, which can lead to diseases caused by the consistent consumption of contaminated natural food. This contamination can be due to harmful chemical residues and other pollutants such as microplastics. Rising pollution in air, water, and soil has threatened the food chain, leading to ill health in people of all ages. Pollution leads to heavy use of pesticides, insecticides, antibiotics, and hormones. The profit-driven mindset of people involved in the food supply chain can compromise the safety and quality of natural food produced andconsumed by humans through the use of chemical additives, unpotable water, and unhygienic handling of food. As a result, the current food chain is compromised, leading to ill health and life-threatening diseases due to consistent consumption. The Solution VTF is building as a movement? VTF, a startup based in Coimbatore, is on a mission to provide safe natural food to its customers. The company aims to achieve this by implementing a 100% traceable food chain that tracks and quality checks the food at every step, from the farm to the kitchen. This ensures that the food is as safe as if it were grown in the customer’s backyard garden. VTF delivers safe natural food to its customers’ doorstep, providing natural nutrients in their purest and richest form for better health and well-being. As a first step, VTF has chosen to focus on fish, as more than 70% of the urban community is facing protein deficiency, leading to multiple health issues in people of all ages.
