A mission-driven girls’ empowerment organization addressing the negative effects of extreme poverty and a traditionally patriarchal society by creating a safe environment, meeting girls’ basic needs, and providing tutoring and mentorship to inspire girls and equip them with the skills they need to strive for brighter futures. Our mission: Empowering girls through holistic and trauma-informed programs that equip them with the skills and tools they need to create lasting, positive change in their lives. Our programs: - School partnership with Cornerstone Christian Secondary School - Feeding program providing 120+ meals weekly - Mentorship program teaching 90+ girls lessons in leadership, personal development, giving access to female role models, raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and abuse - Rescue home with 20 beds for homeless girls and victims of abuse - Teen mothers program to provide safety and skills training to young mothers - Vocational training and job creation programs to teach sewing skills, financial literacy, business management, entrepreneurial skills - Voices Awake Ventures: seeking sustainable funding solutions to keep our mission moving forward.
