Overview

Visual Harvest is a digital technology consultancy to organisation’s seeking novel ways to engage with specific communities, in areas where traditional media costs, may be prohibitively high. Established in 2005 to initially research whether outsourcing in the UK; targeted at the computer game industry, could be sustained. Later research considered future infrastructure requirements for independent animation, working extensively toward researching market requirements for a render-farm, to support game developers and independent animation studios; while continuing to work on a 25 minute 3D animated film pilot; a large part of which involved exploring new distribution channels for independent content creators, expanding on and in some cases negating more traditional routes to market. Offering among other solutions, digital media & technology strategy, Visual Harvest informs knowledge intensive communities of conditions favourable with sustainable infrastructure, how a product should use digital and more importantly when not. However since 2011, work began investigating new possibilities for content-centred-networks at a Social Firm, to serve people with a history of common and some chronic forms of mental illness, safely remain or return to paid employment with 21st Century skills; promoting sustainable work, through responsible employment, using the “Net-Tree” collaboration engine.
