Overview

VIDA Training provides professional bespoke Vision Impairment and Disability Awareness Training, Consultancy and Employment Services. With Vicky and Dave having over 35 years combined experience in working in the field of disability, Dave living with a deteriorating sight condition and Vicky working with and supporting people with vision impairments, our unique dual perspective enables us to offer quality, personalised services to meet your organisation’s needs. There are nearly 2 million people living with sight loss and 11 million people living with a limiting long term illness, impairment or disability in the UK. All our training packages can be tailored to suit your requirements and suit any organisation or business working with members of the public or with staff who have a disability. Backed up by our extensive all round knowledge and experience, with a few of our personal anecdotes thrown in, our Vision Impairment and Disability Awareness training packages are interactive, inspiring and thought provoking, aiding the process in breaking down the barriers to disability. And, with a few twists and turns, our training makes a really interesting alternative for communication and team building training days, again tailored to meet your organisation’s needs. Through our consultation services we can support you regarding accessibility requirements (written and physical), offer guidance with supporting a team member who has a disability and inform you about support that is available including the DWP’s Access to Work scheme and much much more. Feedback from previous courses: “Vicky and Dave are passionate trainers, providing a great level of knowledge with anecdotal stories to bring their information to light.” "Fantastic to meet a trainer who has a visual impairment" “Very well delivered, both trainers explained things really well. Physical exercises were fun but very useful as well."
