It works from local to international scale to develop innovative tool to reconnect environmental management with public policy and the economy. Recently, Vertigo has worked with national institutions to value the benefits of biodiversity conservation, undertake cost-benefit analyses, and develop conservation financial planning or payments for ecosystem services. Vertigo currently aims to extend these economic tools to the management of broader issues such as water management, agroecology, natural resource efficiency, new types of economy (such as functional or community-based economies).
