VCU Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program has been training residents since 1997! The purpose is to build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications. In addition, the VCU School of Pharmacy Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program is dedicated to preparing advanced innovative community-based pharmacy providers who are committed to patient care and improving knowledge through education.
